Mack and Sam tie the knot!!!

We have been so excited for these two.  They are perfect for each other.  Taylor was the pastor for his sister and brother-in-laws wedding in May and then again for his brother in October.  And in preparing for the ceremonies we've had some good talks about what good matches they are.  Barb and Clint are so similar that they seem perfect together.  Mack and Sam are opposites in so many ways but they really  complete each other and make one another better.  We love them and are so happy to have Sam in the family officially.
Taylor waiting for everyone to be ready.  Samantha picked a beautiful historic mansion in the mountains just outside of DC.  She grew up literally just a few miles down the road and watched couples riding past her house on their way from the church to their reception.  So of course this mansion was only place she ever thought of getting married.  It was perfect!  Absolutely gorgeous.  During the most artistic season of the year.  The mountain was just bursting with colors.
The ceremony was beautiful and very them and Taylor only messed up once when he forgot to tell everyone to be seated... so we all stood up... the whole time.  Not a big deal but kind of funny.
This was supposed to be an adults-only wedding so our boys stayed at the hotel with a babysitter and were just as happy watching movies and playing ipods.  But since Isla is exclusively nursing she had to come along- in all her cutie glory.  Tonya can't get enough of her.
Same goes for Esther.
And here's the beautiful couple.  Finally a shot of them.  Sorry I didn't get any actual ceremony pictures since I was holding a sleeping Isla and trying to make sure she wouldn't make even a peep.  Which thankfully she didn't.  Isn't Sam gorgeous!
Isla's dress was from Sam and boy was she a hit in it.  Grandpa stole her for a while and danced her around the floor.
Barbara was a bridesmaid- complete with a visible Rugby bruise on her arm.
The wedding was beautiful and the food amazing- caramel apple cotton candy anyone? but the best part of the night was the dancing.  So much fun!
Even Taylor's parents got in on the party.
Gorgeous!  And so cute together.
Yep these 2 need a cutey pink thing soon.
Isla was again a perfect angel and only started whining about 9:30.  By then we were tired too so we headed back to relieve the sitter and pack up.  Sunday we had brunch with everyone and then said goodbye.  We drove back to the airport and hit up one last monument on our way.  I'm sure our boys won't remember much of this but it was a good place to let them run off some energy before sitting on a plane for 5 hours.
And just to complete the trip, when we landed in Utah I said to Taylor- hey why don't you take Miles and run get the car from long term parking.  I'll get Isla.  Ethan and Isaac can help me with the bags. It was perfect until just as I watched Taylor and Miles exit the plane Ethan looked at me and said "I think I'm going to throw up... 3 seconds of me shrieking WHAT?!? and frantically searching for an airsick bag... and then bleck everywhere.  Lovely!  So the rest of the plane exited while I switched us all to another row, made Ethan strip down to his undies with everyone walking by, and pulled out the change of clothes I insist on bringing every time we fly- complete with grocery sack to put all the nasty clothes in.  Truthfully it wasn't that big of a deal because we're so used to it we were prepared.  But just par for the course with Ethan.  He gets sick every single trip we take and we ALMOST made it home without that happening this time... but nope.  At least he's consistent enough for us to know we better be prepared.
And here's a shot of Monday morning.  Isla passed out!  Poor thing.  She takes 5+ hours of naps each day normally but that's in her crib with a white noise machine.  On this trip she never got more than a few half hour naps each day.  Such a trooper.  But to show how exhausted she was Monday morning, she woke up and I fed her and then set her on my bed while I went to help the boys get ready for school.  Normally she'd be chewing on her hands or her blanket when I got back and instead she passed right back out.  Poor cute thing.  She spent the next 2 days doing the same thing- waking up to eat and then passing right back out even with noisy brothers all around her.
