Milo Mo

What can I say about my dear Milo Mo?  He is so much his own little self.  Full speed all the time.
Poor guy is allergic to too many things and we can't quite figure them out.  So often, he gets "the bumps".
He's so excited to be getting big like his brothers.  Being included in soccer camp, even though he was with the little kids, is so fantastic!
Mari de Dios was Miles' nursery and Sunbeam teacher and when she moved to the other side of the valley it nearly broke both of their big hearts.  Luckily she gets to visit and these two couldn't be happier together.  What an amazing blessing to have someone love my child and help teach him the gospel with such a perfect love.
Miles and Isla are such good little buddies.  They are my little tag-alongs every morning and they're the perfect companions.

Isla

This little cutie has captured all of our hearts.  She's a cuddler and a tease and the biggest ray of sunshine in our home.

Honestly, I know it's overkill but I couldn't leave a single picture out.
Unfortunately for her she spends way too much time in the car dropping brothers off and picking them up.  And so she gets subjected to a whole lot of my music... and she can sing along with just about any Taylor Swift song.
And she's perfected her dance moves along with her singing.
Isla has the most amazing nursery with 23 other kids and a boatload of little girls.  Mary and Alice are some of her favorites although I'll never be able to tell them apart.
She loves having her hair done and is patient while I'm working on it.
All she'd like is a little baby brother or sister to take care of but since I'm not up for that, she can just mother the boy's furbies.

No More Diapers!!!!!

I wish it were true!  Unfortunately it seems the brothers are more interested in helping Isla sit on the potty than she actually is.  Oh well.  We'll just wait and see.

Back to School 2014

Can't believe the time is passing so quickly- or that these amazing big kids are really mine.  This one is 100% ready to go.  Can't wait to see friends again and get back in his groove.
This little one is trying hard to be brave.  Excited for 1st grade- yes!  Excited to be starting at a whole new school and not knowing anyone- maybe not so much.
It's funny to see their feelings so clearly in their smiles.
Yep, no worries here.
And just a few over here.
What a brave guy.  Off to conquer first grade!
And this little blondie can hardly wait to go to preschool all by himself this year.

No Naps for Me

Taylor had just one request for the kids this summer and that was for all 3 boys to really learn to swim independently and competently.  Ethan is mostly fine and can get around a pool on his own.  Isaac and Miles are still in floaties.  Which doesn't bother me too much but since we have a pool in our backyard, it REALLY scares Taylor a lot that his kids aren't very proficient.  So along with all the soccer and scout and day camps I signed them up for, I made sure there were lessons every single day- for weeks.  The kids have gotten SO much better.  Ethan is ready for a swim team.  Isaac will be ready next summer and even Miles could do it next summer.  Miles was the big surprise because he took to his lessons like they were a challenge.  He really, really wants to be just as big as Ethan and Isaac in everything and I think he's done it in swimming this summer.
The kind of funny side effect of this was that the boy who hasn't taken a nap for over a year and a half was suddenly sacking out every single day.  Never in his bed of course.  Oh no, he was not tired.  But he'd be playing or reading a book and suddenly sawing logs in the funniest places.  So of course I had to document his hard work and exhaustion.
Asleep with his leg stuck on a shelf.
On top of his lego box because it was just apparently too exhausting to get his box to the table.
Asleep on the stairs, again just too exhausting to come upstairs from playing.
Isaac was a nice brother and covered him up.
And this one is my favorite.  Asleep, in his chair, after eating a snack.  That applesauce just really makes you want to pass out.
Totally out!
Most days his naps weren't as entertaining and were often just after reading books on the couch.  Still pretty funny he was so tuckered out.  Love this sweet, little boy who tries so hard to be big.

Saturday Fun

Sometimes there are perks to Taylor's work and when it includes the whole family being invited to a REAL game, we're all in!

Plus Grams and Grandpa coming along is the best.

And since it's Ezra's birthday today, the fun isn't over even when we win the game, the party's just beginning.

It's a whole lot of fun for the one-year-old cousin.

More Summer

How can I not include these cute memories?
This one I texted to Taylor just to prove the bad influence living in Utah is having on Isaac.  This is clearly a short i page but does Isaac think "milk" is spelled with an i?  Oh, no.  We're in Utah.  Milk is melk just like creek is crick here.

Isaac's (Summer) Birthday Party

Isaac turned 7 in December and all he wanted for a party was to be at the pool.  Unfortunately he and his friends are just not good enough swimmers for me to take them on.  So I promised we'd do a summer party at home where it would be easier to supervise.
Sharks were the theme.

And since Isaac HATES frosting, he absolutely would not consent to having a regular cake or cupcakes.  Pinterest to the rescue- really cute ice cream sandwich sharks.  Super easy and you should have seen the boys going to town eating their heads off.
Just fondant fins with toothpicks to hold them in place and candy eye balls with a little honey.

I couldn't resist a photo opp harkening back to Jaws.

The morning of the party (after the ice cream sandwich sharks were already made) Isaac decided that he really did need a cake and that he wanted an ice cream cake.  Luckily Baskin Robbins had the perfect blue one and luckily I could whip up a few fondant sharks to fit the theme.

No pictures of the swimming because I was supervising but there was lots of fun and it was definitely worth the half a year wait.
