Exploring Sosua and Puerta Plata

Although Dana and I wanted to go back to our missions, really there aren't many tourist sites to see so the real point is being at the beach.  We rented a house walking distance from a beautiful beach just east of Puerto Plata in Sosua.  The backyard and pool was gorgeous.

And the rainbow greeting us at the beach was not too shabby.
The random insects we entertaining too because Kelli could NOT handle them.

The rest of the pictures need no explanation.  We played, swam, body surfed, choked on salty water, read, slept, lounged, and just generally were in heaven on the beach.

Taylor's other stipulation (besides the Super Bowl watching) was that if we weren't going to stay in an all-inclusive, we HAD to go out to dinner every day.  He knows my mother too well who'd rather stay home and cook and eat cheaply.  This time we drove into Puerto Plata and let me tell you, I think none of us there will EVER forget.  There may have been lanes on the road but you definitely couldn't tell.  It was a giant free for all with what should have been 3 lanes going 1 way really turning into 5 or 6 lanes depending on how many motorcycles could squeeze up beside you.
Taylor enjoyed the driving especially because it so freaked out my mother.  My dad was kind enough to sit in the trunk so we'd only have to take 1 car.
