Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

This morning was the neighborhood Easter egg hunt. It's planned and put on by the ward but all the neighbors are invited. And of course nothing can be basic here so they didn't just use one or two lawns to hide the eggs. They started at one house and hid hundreds of eggs 10 houses to the north, 10 to the south, and opposite of that on the other side of the street. Literally 20 houses worth of front lawns full of eggs! It was utter chaos with kids running up and down and across streets and lawns. So much chaos that this is the only picture I snapped. Ethan was too excited and too fast for me to catch up to. Isaac would have been faster if he hadn't been so excited to talk to every person he saw and tell them about his eggs in his basket. "Yook, eggs!"
Ethan was slightly upset that the older (faster) kids had more in their baskets, but I'm glad he only found what he did. We certainly don't need more candy in this house. They were cute to watch opening all the eggs to examine their surprises and then (much to my disapproval) opening all the candy wrappers to examine the chocolate inside. Somehow they didn't understand they should wait to open them until it was time to eat them, and I was distracted feeding Miles in another room. Oh well, they had a great morning.
