Reunion Day 3: Up to Snowbird

Friday we woke up to sunshine and a forecast of 100 degrees again so it seemed like the perfect day to head up the canyons to find cooler weather and loads of fun.
Unfortunately little paley white Isla had to spend most of the day in her stroller since I didn't want her to fry at that high altitude.  She doesn't look like she minds and she mostly just slept and ate the whole day.
We went up to Snowbird Ski resort where they have all sorts of fun summer activities.  These bungy-trampolines were right next to the check-in window and as soon as Miles saw them he was determined to wait and not leave until he got a turn- even when waiting was an hour- even when all the rest of the cousins but 1 left him to find less crowded activies.  He's my stubborn child :)
But he LOVED it.  And really the line was so long because they let you jump almost 10 full minutes at a time.  He was so small that the workers kept jerking on the main line and he'd soar 5 or 10 feet up and come bouncing back down in glee.  He LOVED it!
Luckily those were almost the only lines the whole time.  There were alpine sled rides that started up near those buildings and wound around and down to here.
And zip lines- actually not very scary being strapped into the chairs but once I threw my hands in the air and started screaming the whole way down, Isaac joined in on the fun.
That tiny red speck is Taylor with Ethan coming down.  Miles sadly was too short and waited in line for us to finish with tears in his eyes.  Happily though there were so many other activities that he could do- bounce alien house, bouncy slides, climbing walls, aerial tram, ski lifts, ropes courses.  I'm sure I'm forgetting something.
After all the fun Ethan and a few cousins decided they couldn't leave without trying the bungy trampolines and were patient enough to wait in line.
And then the flipping began.  It took Ethan several tries but once he figure it out he didn't stop.
Seriously though- he didn't stop- he did 10 flips in a row without touching the actual trampoline.  Pretty funny and thankfully he didn't throw up afterwards.  Fun activities.  85 degrees and sunny.  We give Snowbird 2 enthusiastic thumbs up!
Then it was time to head back home for another dinner and night of hanging out.  Luckily with dry weather the kids could enjoy their grandma box toys.  Theme for the night:  Bubble toys.
These are actually the only shots I took of the kids the whole week playing at our house- mostly because I was always busy nursing Isla or helping make or clean up food.
And since we have 6 July birthdays in the family we decided to have cake for dessert.  Yummy neon frosted sheet cake.  Who let the little kids pick the cake?  :)
