Here comes Peter Cottontail

We decided this year that we'd start having the Easter Bunny come on Saturdays from now on. Mostly this is because I think the message of Easter is lost too easily amidst all the fun secular traditions. And unlike Christmas where the day changes, Easter is ALWAYS on a Sunday so if you're a kid and more focused on the fun stuff, you easily miss the true meaning. So bright and early Saturday morning someone knocked on our door.

Ethan opened it up to find this! Isaac instantly ran straight out to see who had left them.

But AMAZINGLY, that Bunny is FAST and he was already gone!

Isaac even had to go all the way to the street to see if he could see him at someone else's house.

Miles was pretty excited- there were bouncy balls in his basket and he's ALL ABOUT THE BALLS right now.

Everyone quickly discovered there was candy inside their eggs and they went to town on it. (Yet another reason to not do baskets on Sunday- hyped up kids in Sacrament is never a good thing).

Miles quickly realized that there were bouncy balls in his brother's baskets too and confiscated them.

Then he spent the rest of the day literally picking up as many as he could get in his hands at one time (the record was 8) and then chucking them down the kitchen and into the hallway. Then he'd hunt them all down and do it again. A bit of a tripping hazard but he was entertained ALL DAY and even now several weeks later they are his favorite toy. So yeah for the Target dollar store!
