I can hardly believe that she's 3 already. In some ways 3 is my favorite age and in others it's my least favorite. Thankfully Isla is mostly doing things I love. She is cute and cuddly and happy and silly and very seldom does she throw a tantrum.
Sunday morning, once everyone was dressed and ready for church, we let her open her presents. The boys of course wanted to pitch in and help.
And thus it was a very quick process.Which was her favorite? The Doc McStuffins doll of course!
And all the tiny doc mcstuffins doctor tools.
Grams asked if Isla could come over early before family dinner because her present required "doing". So over we came and Isla was so excited to get princess pink garden gloves, binoculars, shovel, and pots.
And then Grams had even bought potting soil and flowers for her to plant. Miles of course, never one to be left out of the action, insisted on running next door to get his green gloves and shovel and luckily Grams had more flowers she needed planting.
Isla got to pick which flowers she wanted so of course she chose the pink and purple ones. And she even got a new flowery watering can so she can water her plants this summer.
Such a cute idea with these enthusiastic helpers.
And then after a dinner of mac and cheese and carrots (Isla's choice), we did her real cake. She got pink lemonade cupcakes the day before with pink lemonade frosting so I chose a more adult friendly flavor for the family cake. Carrot with cream cheese frosting. It was delicious and the cake was adorable with the purple sparkly balls and Doc McStuffins guys.
Happy Birthday sweetest girl! We love you SO!
