Legoland Florida

Taylor's conference was Tuesday to Friday afternoon so my plan was to venture to a few places with just the kids and me.  Thursday we drove over to Legoland which was EMPTY!!!
Seriously!  Apparently they even were closed on Tuesday and Wednesday because there aren't enough people.
And Legoland was the perfect fit for our little group.  The park is really geared to kids 12 and under so the rides are shorter and less scary and the height restrictions are minimal.  Isla couldn't ride 3 of the rides and Miles could ride them all as long as he went with someone over 48" which luckily both Ethan and Isaac are.  So even when we needed 2 "adults" for Miles and Isla to ride with, they were happy to let Ethan or Isaac count and for one of them to ride solo.
We literally didn't wait in a line more than 2 minutes the entire day and most times my kids got off, ran out the exit, and right back in again to ride it 2 or 3 times.

My favorite part is that at all the rides there's a little fenced in area for younger kids to wait while you're in line and they can build with duplos.  We didn't have to wait in line so much as while the boys were riding, Isla would play.
The new Chima area is really fun with a water mist and splash pad which was perfect in the humid 80 degree weather.

Yes, we were pretty excited to go in the Chima area.
Love the "no lines"!
The Chima ride is a big boat with manual squirt guns.

We got SOAKED.  And the boys wanted to go again and again and thankfully the staff was very happy to send them all by themselves.  I thought that a little bizarre but oh well.  They were in heaven trying to squirt me with water standing on the outside.

Soaking wet Isla also opted to not go again and instead play with the lego creatures.

By the end of the day everyone was tired of rides and just wanted to build.
And visit the sites of the world on a miniature level.  The perfect day.  Fully exhausted kids who got to ride every ride as many times as they wanted.  I'm glad I was brave enough to try this one solo.
