Flat Ammon comes to visit

When we lived in DC, Taylor used to laugh that the only time we really went to the monuments or the museums was when we had friend or family visiting.  Sadly the same is true in Utah.  So when Ethan's cousin "flat Ammon" arrived, I decided to take my kids around to a few places they've never been.
Mountains.  Okay we do go there regularly but Flat Ammon is from Ohio so he needed a great view of what we see out our front door every day.
And then we visited the great salt lake.  Okay so we just got within a mile.  But who can blame us?  The lake is that light blue strip behind Ethan and that beach you see there is no beach at all...
Take more than a few steps out into the salt deposits and you start to sink.  See the footprints?  I almost didn't let Ethan's shoes in the car afterwards because they were so covered in slimy, sticky, smelly, salt.
Miles wanted a picture of Flat Ammon too.
And we visited the Jazz basketball arena which the boys actually get to go to a lot.
And lastly the Olympic torch.  Usually we're rushing into the U of U football stadium on the other side so my boys have never seen the torch.
