Metting Elder Scott

So the picture has absolutely nothing to do with the story, but it was too cute NOT to post. Miles has recovered from last week and we're settling in nicely. Still working on the sleeping thing though so we stay in pajamas a lot these days.
Taylor's parents were out of town this weekend so we inherited their University of Utah football tickets. Ethan is a great spectator and gets into all the cheers and chants. Isaac usually doesn't care at all but this time he surprised us by watching most of the game. It helped that he had an almost endless supply of cheetos. Miles mostly slept so we had a great time and Utah had a high scoring game so it was fun to watch.
On the way out of the stadium, we ended up in the same elevator with Elder Scott. Taylor couldn't resist shaking his hand and he kindly turned and shook mine, then Ethan's, then Isaac's. What was great was that he seemed to care more about shaking the boys hands than ours. He asked Ethan if he wanted to learn a new "fisherman's" handshake and he proceeded to shake his hand back and forth like a swimming fish. Ethan just seemed confused. Then he put out his hand to shake with Isaac. Being the good 2 year old that he was, he had another bag of Cheetos in his hand so when Elder Scott stuck out his hand for him to shake, he looked at him very confused and after a few seconds handed him his bag of Cheetos. He laughed, handed them back and tried to shake his hand again. Again, Isaac handed him his Cheetos. He did it a third time before Isaac understood. We all had a good laugh. Someday they'll appreciate living in Utah and having these experiences- for now their parents are enjoying them for them.
