A Minecraft Birthday Party

So I may have been a little crazy but these invitations I found on Pinterest were just to easy and too perfect for Miles' minecraft themed 6th Birthday Party.
Here they all are.  Don't they look like the real game?
And then to go along with the theme, we collected a bunch of empty moving boxes from Grandpa-great so we could do our own building.
The requested "cake" turned out great.  Truthfully not a cake since that'd be impossible to do little bricks without going crazy from crumbs.  So instead it's little rice krispie squares and brownie squares covered in frostings.

Come in if you dare!
The enderman welcomes you.
To start off the party we had the boys build their houses with our boxes.
Then we turned off all the lights for night time (not very effective on a sunny Saturday afternoon) and dad the Creeper came to attack.  Isaac explains this to me since I know nothing of the game.  He could be a zombie or skeleton if he was just attacking at night but because he's breaking the blocks then he's a Creeper.  Okay.
Time to rebuild.
Oh no!  Another creeper attack.
Oh no!  One more attack and this time from the outside door we all just assumed was locked so no boxes had to be broken down.  Can you imagine the mass screaming of little boys (sounded just like little girls).   Lots of screaming and running away!
Then it was on to calmer games (cause mom can only stand so much screaming).  Carnival style creeper beanbag game.

Pin the tail on the minecraft pig.
And finally time for cake since we need to refuel.

"sink your face in hot lava"

And since potions are apparently a "major" part of the game we had to make potions with water bottles and koolaid packets.

Then on to bingo.

And present opening of course.
And for the biggest potion of all...
Dad added mentos to bottles of coke and the boys got a great exploding show.
