After Kauri Cliffs we headed back to Auckland to meet up with more of Taylor's family. Randomly his dad's cousin's family was also meeting in New Zealand for Christmas. Less random for them actually since 2 of their 5 kids (and the only ones with kids yet) live in Austrailia while the others live in Nicaragua, Washington DC, and Costa Rica so maybe New Zealand isn't such a crazy meeting point. For us, with 3 of 4 siblings and Taylor's parents all living in Salt Lake City, New Zealand was definitely not a central meeting place.
But since both families were there we met up for lunch on the one day where our itineraries overlapped. This allowed for some fun second cousin playing.
And rolling down the hill.Running up the hill and rolling down is great for wearing kids out.
There's the whole Woodbury-Barbee group.
Truly the world is small for these 2 families- so glad we could meet up and catch up with these guys. Next Christmas in Hong Kong anyone? It's just 9297 km from here!
