Only Isaac chose basketball as his winter sport this year which was fine by us. It was fun to have just 1 game night a week and to have our next door neighbor coaching so Isaac could get rides if we were ever too slammed.
Poor Chad. Apparently there are just too many little 5 year old boys in this neighborhood who want to play basketball together and then they wanted to invite all their friends too. The Boys and Girls club where they play arranges all the teams but they don't at all try to even them out. So while all teams got at least 6 kids, if more requested that, more got put on the same team. So Isaac's team ended up with 14 kids on it. Yikes!
Chad worked hard at allowing for equitable playing time and the boys never seemed to mind sitting out and playing together. Good guarding Isaac.
And decent dribbling. They really cracked down this year on at least "trying" to dribble. Last year most kids just grabbed the ball like it was a football and ran. This year they at least had to bounce it periodically. Some were better than others but mostly they were all patient and let everyone try.
Nice shot Isaac! Maybe angle yourself away from the basket, not right underneath next time. This always makes me laugh so hard but this is the favorite shooting place of most kids.
Chad even makes sure they take turns throwing in the ball and taking it down the court.
