There were just 2 games this spring where Ethan's and Isaac's games didn't overlap and I actually got to come watch Isaac play. Sadly, we woke up Saturday morning and it was pouring rain. But Taylor didn't want to cancel the game so we put on rain jackets- under his uniform and headed out.
Isla didn't mind staying in her stroller nice and warm and dry for once. Miles enjoyed having his own umbrella. I did not enjoy the rain coming off the side of his umbrella into my lap. This is how the game started. Isaac kicks the balls... and dribbles down and scores.
Run back.
High five the coach.
Smile for the camera.
And do it all over again. And again. And again.
Throw in a stop to play with Isla on your way back from scoring AGAIN.
It was actually pretty embarrassing and we had to stop cheering on our side since we felt so bad for the other team. My boys didn't mind sitting out since Grandpa stopped by McDonalds and brought pancakes on his way to the game.
After a while Taylor felt so bad for the other team that he started subbing in younger siblings. Miles was THRILLED!!!
Still pouring rain, no umbrella to keep him dry, but he gets to be a big boy and play in the soccer game!!!
It was really pretty cute to see them playing together and to see his ear-to-ear grin the whole time. He ran up and down the field giggling non-stop.
After Isla got bored in the stroller, Grandpa carried her around. He's a big sucker for this pink polka-dot cutie. So is everyone!
Miles didn't get to kick the ball much but it helped slow the game down to have him and other 2 and 3 year olds playing against the other team. I hope they didn't notice- Taylor was just trying to stop the slaughter and give them a chance.
Either way it made Miles' day and he even got to run through the victory tunnel with a jersey on at the end. BEST DAY EVER!
