One of the best perks of living in Utah is that so many of our friends have family here and so when they come here to visit them, we get a visit too!!! And even though we only got to keep our friends with us a day and a half, we made the most of it.
First up, a trip to our favorite zoo. The metal elephant that squirts water out his trunk was a hit in the muggy heat.
As was climbing on every statue the kids could find. Look how cute they all are: Ethan, Truman, Kennedy, Isaac and Miles.Isla mostly hid in the shade of her stroller and only got to come out inside the buildings. Poor thing. She's just too whitey whitey to get in the sun at all. I did think to put her in her favorite outfit though. Not only is it adorable, but it has this fabulous, hug pink bow that she LOVES to lick. Seriously so funny to watch her just lick and lick and lick.
Our polar bear was of course a hit. Sadly Ethan and Miles wanted to show the bear her own picture and kept insisting on putting their zoo maps up to the glass every time she came up. So no pictures of her face.
Isla and Kennedy were great little buddies. My boys have long ago stopped asking to holding the baby but Kennedy was all over it. Such a difference in boys and girls!
And so cute together!
After the zoo we came home to rest and then had a GW BBQ reunion with lots of families who live in Utah. Such fun to see everyone and to see how much their kids have grown in just a few year. Saturday morning was full of swimming and pizza and Taylor and Sheldon swapping websites and apps they love. The good old times were back just for a bit. Now if we could only convince them to move out here!
