We haven't been to the zoo much lately mostly due to all the snow and cold weather we've been having. But we made sure to fit in a trip this month while they had the Zoo Lights because it's so amazing. Seriously- we maybe saw 5 animals the whole time and had to brave the chilly wind, but it was wonderful.
Unfortunately with all the lights displays, the rest of the lights are off in the park so it's hard to get good pictures.
Almost all the displays have moving lights so the animals move or do funny things. The gorillas in the background here are having a snowball fight and it really looks like it when you're there. The boys LOVE the crocodile in the front who opens and closes his mouth. Maybe next year they need to add sound effects (or just hire my boys to do them!)
These trees are always my favorites because they're like 100 feet tall and fully lit with hundreds of these beautiful ornaments.
The boys favorite is always Santa on his sleigh who flies across the dark sky.
A great night and even better than last year since we dragged Taylor and his dad along. Much more fun to have some adult conversation to add to the shouts of "oh look at that" and "mommy see", etc.
