Ethan started school a month ago and with we've added some new friends. Really they're old friends from the ward, but now that our lives and schedules coincide, we get to spend more time together.
Every Friday Ethan's kindergarten ends an hour early to give the teachers a little planning time. We don't mind, it means we have a little more time for fun... like trips to the zoo with Bryce and his older brother Ethan.
Normally my kids do a zoo "run" as they literally run from animal to animal so it was nice to have friends along who are a little older and a little more patient. It helped my kids to focus and really watch the animals. It was really cute to hear them all yelling back and forth "oh, look at this one, that's so cool". It doesn't help that the entire month of September has been in the 80's and 90's so we can live outside non-stop.
And we've been able to have more playdates- especially with our favorite next door neighbor Ethan Wallis. His mom is 5 months pregnant with her 5th boy so she deserves a nap every once in a while and I love that my boys literally play for 2 hours straight without a fight or complaint.
