Summer

Brothers interested in riding the water slides?  Luckily this little girl is cute enough to attract a bunch of older girls to play with her.
Miles randomly sacked out in weird places and weird positions was a staple of this summer.  "No, I'm not tired", then five minutes later "zzzzzzzzz".
Back to the aquarium with grams since we had bounce back passes.

Riding in style with mom.

Summer Outings

With all our reunions and camps this summer, I'm surprised we fit in any day trips but somehow we did.  Gardens at Thanksgiving Point we a favorite.

Bowling at Fat Cats because the children's museum Isaac picked was closed (and we'd already driven a half hour).

Fountains at the Gateway just because.
And the library in our swimming suits.  What?  It works for a multipurpose outing.

Block Party

It's no secret our neighborhood goes WAY overboard each summer on the block party.  And this year was no exception.  Giant bouncy climbing and slide toys.
A full on bird show.
Fishing for treasure.

Face painting by the young women.

Dunk tank
And even a pirate ship parade float- just for decoration- just because they could.  Hopefully Taylor and I are never put in charge cause I'm just too much of a pragmatist and it will be pretty boring.

Yep, everyone happy at the end of this party.

More Reunion

I just can't let these pictures get lost forever.  Such good memories.  Taylor was fascinated by making these dripping sand castles.  He'd have spent hours perfecting them.
Ok, so this one hasn't been lost forever.  It actually ended up as both Taylor's and my screen shot on our phones.  How insanely cute is this little lady?
Milo doing what he does best- making every moment count.  Snow angels aren't just for snow anymore.
This was the first year where the reunion house we stayed in was actually the perfect size.  Always before it's been too small or too few rooms or too few things to do around it.  This one had separate suites for every family and then so much entertainment between the pool and beach.  Lots to enjoy but also just nice to be the designated "napping" parent with Isla.
What a perfect week!

The USS Alabama

Sadly the beach fun had to end but since we still had time before our flight the next day, and a long drive to break up, we decided to stop and see the USS Alabama.  This was Ethan's dream come true.  And they're pretty cute all matching.
I'm going to keep the commentary to a minimum since it's pretty self-explanatory, but let's just say it was ROASTING inside and Ethan realized for himself why you want to be an officer and not just an enlisted soldier.

I'm SO tired!!!
